Franklin Templeton Meets SEC Crypto Task Force on Tokenized Funds and On-Chain U.S. Stock Trading

Franklin Templeton met with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s crypto task force on Oct. 9 to discuss how tokenized fund shares and tokenized U.S. stocks could be directly exchanged on blockchain-based trading platforms. The discussion focused on whether investors would be allowed to redeem those assets directly, whether liquidity providers could charge service fees, and how pricing rules under the Investment Company Act would apply in such arrangements. The two sides also examined whether tokenized ETFs and tokenized equities could be paired with compliant payment stablecoins or tokenized money market funds for trading. Another point on the agenda was whether related liquidity pools would need exemptions from investment company regulation. The meeting highlights ongoing regulatory discussions around how tokenized versions of traditional financial products might operate within existing U.S. securities rules.

HashKey RWA CEO Anna Liu says liquidity and capital efficiency will decide whether tokenization brings in new money

HashKey RWA CEO Anna Liu said tokenized ETFs and virtual asset ETFs should not be treated as the same product category, arguing that a tokenized ETF can keep the same underlying assets, fund structure, regulatory approval, NAV framework and custody setup as a traditional fund while moving ownership records on-chain. Speaking on Sept. 9 at an ETFGI panel on asset management and the ETF industry, Liu said this structure could let on-chain investors access regulated traditional financial assets through familiar accounts, while traditional investors would mainly see a change in distribution or access rather than in the assets themselves. Liu also said that a new access channel alone is not enough to move capital in a meaningful way. In her view, the next stage depends on longer trading hours, more efficient settlement and a wider range of asset-use cases. She said the real issue is whether tokenization can improve liquidity and capital efficiency, because that is what could attract new money rather than simply shifting the same capital between different channels. Looking further out, Liu said income generated by AI may itself become an investable and distributable asset, with blockchain-based ledgers handling allocation of many small but continuous revenue streams that are difficult to distribute efficiently through traditional financial infrastructure.

Bitget CEO Confirms Talks with BlackRock for Asian Crypto Distribution

Bitget CEO Gracy Chen revealed in a CoinDesk interview that the exchange is in talks with Wall Street giants including BlackRock for Asian crypto product distribution. Binance’s bStocks tokenized ETF market cap reaches $118.5 million, ranking second

Data from Token Terminal shows that the tokenized ETF market capitalization of bStocks, Binance’s tokenized equity trading platform, has climbed to about $118.5 million. Roughly two months after launching on June 10, bStocks moved past xStocks, which stands at $94.5 million, to take the No. 2 spot in the segment. OSL, Mirae Asset and Citi launch Hong Kong’s first tokenized covered call options ETF

OSL Group, Mirae Asset and Citi have announced the launch of a tokenized unit class for the Global X Hang Seng China Enterprises Index Covered Call Active ETF (3416), making it the first covered call options ETF in Hong Kong to introduce a tokenized unit class. The product gives investors the option to hold fund units in tokenized form. As part of the arrangement, OSL is offering the tokenized unit class through its licensed digital asset trading platform in Hong Kong, allowing both institutional and retail investors to subscribe through a regulated venue. OSL said its institutional platform, OSL Tokenworks, supports the full tokenization process for the fund and is designed to improve settlement efficiency, increase transparency and streamline operations. ONDO’s IVVon Becomes the Largest Tokenized ETF Onchain at About $70 Million

Techub News, citing CryptoBriefing, said ONDO Finance’s tokenized ETF product IVVon has reached about $70 million in market value, making it the largest tokenized ETF currently onchain. The product is up more than three times from $22 million at the start of 2026, and it wraps BlackRock’s iShares Core S&P 500 ETF (IVV) into a blockchain-native token with automatic dividend reinvestment.
